DDC has expertise and practical experience with Machine Learning (ML) and AI in developing, training, and deploying models for various solutions and applications across its own video and audio products and potential customers' products.
Job Description and Responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced and motivated FPGA / SoC Engineer with a strong focus on design and development.
As a member of the team, you will be expected to research new technologies, propose, design, and develop technical solutions and products. Key Responsibilities
As part of the DDC team, you will be responsible for the following aspects of Embedded Systems development:
- Analyze system requirements and propose solutions
- Create designs (perform feasibility studies, trade-off analysis, produce architecture)
- Detailed design (SoC / FPGA coding, verification, simulation, test and validation)
- Produce development effort estimates
- Support system-level integration (between hardware, SOC / FPGA and software)
- Work closely with the clients to support their efforts
- Support and enhance designs in production
- Specify and develop Intellectual Property (IP) functions for FPGAs and SoCs
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in EE, CE, or CS
- Work experience 1 - 5 years
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
- Good communication skills
- Strong understanding of digital logic design principles and SOC / FPGA architectures
- Knowledge of computer system architectures
- Understanding of all phases of the SOC / FPGA development process (coding, simulation, implementation, verification, debug)
- Knowledge and experience with the SOC / FPGA development tools and design flow from AMD, Altera, or other SOC / FPGA vendors
- Knowledge and practical experience with VHDL and/or Verilog
- Some experience with microprocessor systems (preferably on-chip embedded SOC)
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Desired but not required
- Master’s degree is a plus
- Understanding of image processing
- Implementing DSP algorithms on FPGA
- On-chip communication protocols (like AXI and AXIS)
- System Verilog and UVM
- High-Level Synthesis (HLS) for FPGA
- Software (bare-metal, Linux, BSP,...) for FPGA embedded CPUs
- Connectivity protocols Ethernet, TCP/IP, PCIe, I2C SPI, UART…
- ML/AL concepts
Compensation Base Salary: $80,000 – $120,000 annually
