Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Biomechanical Engineering & Perfusionist to join our team. This is a hands-on role with significant opportunities for learning and growth. You will work closely with our scientists and engineers to support various aspects of our production and research efforts, contributing directly to the development of cutting-edge biomedical products.
Biomanufacturing and Hardware
- 3D Printing: Operate biomedical-grade resin 3D printers.
- Post-Processing: Perform ethanol washing and UV curing of printed parts.
- Assembly: Bonding, tubing, and fittings for product assembly.
- Electro-Mechanical: Assist building and maintaining electro-mechanical subsystems.
Perfusion Systems
- Circuit Setup & Priming: Assemble sterile perfusion loops
- Monitoring: Track with in-line sensors and other real-time parameters for quality and safety.
- Troubleshooting: Identify air bubbles, leaks, pressure drops, and unexpected flow changes in circuits and correct them promptly.
Testing & Quality Control
- Perform functional testing on product components and perfusion subsystems.
- Maintain quality standards for assembly, sterility, and reliability of biomedical devices.
Laboratory Support
- Sterilize equipment and maintain aseptic technique.
- Prepare products for shipment.
- Assist scientists with experimental setups and data acquisition.
- Operate robotic systems for media changes and automated tissue-culture workflows.
Additional Responsibilities
- 3D CAD Modeling/Design: Assist with design and modeling using Fusion 360.
- Software Engineering: Support software development (Python, Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript).
- Electro-Mechanical Engineering: Contribute to projects involving sensors, pumps, actuators, and control systems.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
